Problems related to the past, such as contempt, oppression and exclusion, can lead the subject to create appealing forms...
Access to the 'internet' promoted the growth of browsers on the network, which end up sinking with inappropriate use, due to compulsive self-assertion, putting their fellows in an inferior position. That is, it raises your self-esteem by lowering that of the other.
The spread of personal and professional information is absurd. Photos such as self-portraits, trips, locations, delicacies, luxurious material goods... Finally, achievements are displayed in a sick, compulsive and robotic way, in search of social recognition.
This problem - in part - stems from low self-esteem, neediness and self-deprecation (except personal 'marketing'). In this way, they are numbed by validations, likes, comments, followers and good repercussions – this is reminiscent of the classic positive reinforcement based on the work of John B. Watson and Burrhus F. Skinner.
Problems related to the past, such as contempt, oppression and exclusion, can lead the subject to create appealing ways to feel inserted in society and can often hurt those around him.
I remember here a sentence that portrays this reality:
“When Education is not transformative, the dream of the oppressed is to be an oppressor”. (FREIRE, 1968).
Therefore, it is necessary to get rid of the shackles of compensation, questioning the addictive features, realize how important it is without having to show anyone anything and things should happen naturally.
Therefore, self-recognition is fundamental for building a positive, autonomous and conscious image.
